“Circle of Root Guardians”

In 2025, the architectural composition “Circle of Root Guardians” was created around the “Tree of Life”, symbolizing the contribution of Armenian charitable organizations to the preservation of the traditions and spiritual values of the Armenian people, passed down from generation to generation.

Uniting efforts for the future

In 2025, a sacred space called the “Circle of Root Keepers” was created around the “Tree of Life.” This place is intended to become a point of deep reflection, inner peace, and connection with nature.

Twelve monumental benches made of architectural concrete are arranged in a circle, echoing the shape of a monastery dome. Their austere forms blend harmoniously into the landscape, inviting contemplation, presence, and a sense of unity.

Each bench symbolizes one of the Root Keepers — respected Armenian organizations whose tireless work supports and strengthens the spirit of our nation.

Community goals:

Participants of the “Circle of Root Keepers” support real projects in the region. In 2026, this includes the creation of the children’s space “Living Hive of Tatev.”

“The Golden Chain of Patrons: Guardians of Tatev Through the Centuries”

“As part of the pilgrimage, we presented the exhibition The Golden Chain of Patrons: Guardians of Tatev Through the Centuries, which tells the complex and trial-filled story of Tatev Monastery and honors its guardians—from the Princes of Syunik to today’s benefactors. Through 12 research-based panels, the exhibition traces a millennium-long tradition of Armenian philanthropy, showing how—since the 9th century—the Princes of Syunik, the Orbelian dynasty, scholar-vardapets, devoted bishops and abbots, melik households, progressive industrialists, and modern benefactors have preserved, rebuilt, and revitalized the Tatev monastic complex. By discovering how our ancestors overcame the trials of time, we too learn to face contemporary challenges”.
